GRADO Classic RS1
A Grado Original
Few headphones represent the history of Grado more clearly than the RS1. Introduced more than three decades ago, it was the first wooden headphone in the Grado lineup and quickly became one of the defining models of the brand. Originally constructed from mahogany, the RS1 helped establish the enduring relationship between natural materials and the Grado sound.
50mm X2 Dynamic Driver
Grado's larger 50mm X2 driver โ Mylar diaphragm, copper voice coil, and rare earth magnetic system โ tuned for expressive midrange detail and musical immediacy. Matched to ยฑ0.05 dB for exceptional channel consistency.
Tri-Wood Housing
Constructed from Cocobolo, hemp, and maple โ each material contributing unique acoustic properties. The combination of density, damping, and structural stability creates a layered, controlled presentation that no synthetic housing can replicate.
Signature Gold Headband
Grado's most refined mechanical platform โ engraved aluminum alloy gimbals, stainless steel height rods, and reinforced aluminum junction blocks for structural stability and controlled rotation. Genuine leather headstrap with contrasting white stitching and adjustable steel spring band.
Signature Silver Cable
Grado's Signature Silver cable with reduced weight and improved flexibility โ a refined connection befitting the RS1's elevated build quality and heritage.
